Welcome to PandaRoads — your English-language guide to traveling in China.
We built this site because we know how hard it is to find reliable, up-to-date, genuinely useful information about traveling in China as a foreign visitor. Most English-language resources are outdated, generic, or written for business travelers. PandaRoads is different — built for tourists who want to experience the real China.
Why China?
China receives over 1.5 billion domestic tourists annually — but only a fraction of that is international visitors. That number is growing fast, especially since the 144-hour transit visa-free policy opened doors for millions of travelers.
China is also undergoing a remarkable transformation. The high-speed rail network connects cities faster than flying. Mobile payments have made urban life frictionless. Clean subways, efficient services, and world-class attractions — often at a fraction of Western prices — make it one of the most rewarding destinations for independent travelers.
And then there’s the food, the landscapes, the history, and the sheer scale of it all. From the Great Wall to the rice terraces of Yangshuo, from street food in Chengdu to the Bund at night — China is unlike anything you’ve experienced before.
